How to Add Colleagues to Your Group Subscription

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing a group subscription to this newsletter.

The group subscription is set up so that only one person has to handle the payment process. Unfortunately, adding new people to the ‘group’ is not very intuitive.

Here’s how to add a second person (or third, fourth, one hundredth) to the group subscription you just purchased

Add your colleague(s) email addresses to a group management section in your Substack settings (detailed instructions below), by choosing my publication from within your settings and then adding your colleague's email address to the 'group'.

Detailed steps

1.  Go to your account on Substack (the software platform I use to publish this newsletter) by visiting one of my newsletter posts online (click here for Issue #54), using the browser that you used to subscribe.

When the post is open you should see your profile avatar in the top corner of your screen.  Click that to get to your account.

2.  Choose ‘settings’ from your account/profile page and scroll down to 'Subscriptions', then choose 'The Rotten Apple'.

3. You will see 'Group Subscription' and can add your colleague(s) email address(es) from there.

4.  After you add their address, they will receive a welcome email.

If you have any trouble with this, please let me know, and I'll use a different way to add them to the paid list.

For more about group subscriptions, including how to add someone who already paid (they get a refund) and how to add more people to the group, visit Substack’s Group Administrator Help Page.

Thanks again!
