Why I Created The Rotten Apple
And how to join our global food safety community
Hi, nice to ‘meet’ you!
Welcome to The Rotten Apple, an independent publication for food industry professionals. It’s packed with unique insights, original reporting and timely briefings on food safety and food fraud.
My goal with The Rotten Apple is to keep you up to date and help you do better at your job with weekly updates and high-quality resources, so you don’t have to sift through the mountain of information that comes across your desk each day.
I’m a leading food fraud expert, founder of foodfraudadvisors.com and creator of the massive (and massively popular) Food Fraud Risk Information Database on Trello.
Every week I collect, curate, evaluate, summarise, collate and deconstruct hundreds of articles, posts, notifications, guidance docs and research papers, and select the most pertinent, timely and interesting for readers of The Rotten Apple…. sifting out all the fluff, filler and advertorials so you don’t have to.
My aim: to produce a publication that’s insightful, respectful of your time and free from the constraints of advertisers or big donors.
