Why I'm Launching The Rotten Apple
And what you can do to support it right now
Hi, nice to ‘meet’ you!
I’ve just finished putting together the first issue of The Rotten Apple which is dedicated to bringing you original reporting and timely briefings on the topic of food integrity for the international food industry.
The Rotten Apple is my weekly update on food safety, food authenticity and sustainable supply chains for professionals, policy makers and purveyors.
My aim is to free up your inbox so you don’t have to sift through the mountains of industry information that comes across your desk each day.
As one of the world’s leading food authenticity specialists, founder of foodfraudadvisors.com and creator of the massive (and massively popular) Food Fraud Risk Information Database on Trello, it’s my job to stay informed about everything that’s happening in the food integrity space. That means reading hundreds of articles, posts, notifications and research papers every week.
With The Rotten Apple, I’m going to take the most pertinent, timely and interesting items from the week and craft them into a single, punchy email…. sifting out all the fluff, filler and advertorials so you don’t have to.
I aim to produce a publication that’s insightful, respectful of your time and free from the constraints of advertisers or big donors.
By delivering The Rotten Apple as a weekly email, I think I can keep you informed and save you time. However, for it to be successful, it will need the support of a lot of individuals, just like you. If you believe, like I do, in improving the integrity of our global food supply, then I hope you’ll join me and support this project.
The single biggest thing you can do today to support The Rotten Apple is to subscribe to the newsletter. It’s free and easy to do. If you’ve already signed up, please share this with your friends and colleagues. Thank you! I’m looking forward to sharing my insights and expertise. And I’m grateful for your support.
